Joanna Franke joined LIV Hospitality in August 2026, bringing a unique blend of hospitality, tourism, and nearly 30 years of professional accounting experience.

A lifelong resident of the beautiful Black Hills, Joanna began her career in the hotel industry, working in a hotel laundry before going on to serve as a tour guide and supervisor at a local tourist attraction. Her early experiences in hospitality and tourism helped shape her appreciation for the industry she now supports in her professional role.

Joanna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Black Hills State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in South Dakota. As Corporate Controller, she oversees the accounting functions for LIV Hospitality’s management company, bringing extensive experience from both the public and private accounting sectors.

Outside of work, Joanna enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with her husband, their three children and spouses, and their newest joy—a grandbaby.
